Adults for Adoption
We do have a few females that are coming up for adoption to the right families!!

We DO NOT relinquish adult dogs to rescues or shelters once they retire from our breeding program!!
Normally, our retired adults remain with us for the duration of their lives, but we have seen a rising interest of families wanting adult dogs so we have decided to offer a few of our adults for adoption to the Best of families only.
ALL adult dogs for adoption with have a complete veterinarian health exam (including fecal exam and heartworm test), be spayed/neutered, be up to date on parasitic control (basic deworming and heartworm preventative), be up to date with core and rabies vaccinations and have their microchip information transferred BEFORE they leave our care.
Adoption Process
First Step
The FIRST STEP to adopting an adult dog from Hilltop Acres is to complete the online adoption application in its entirety. The adoption application is REQUIRED and designed to help us determine whether or not a specific dog is the right fit for a person and their family. We do reserve the right to deny any applicant for any reason prior to placing a potential adult dog.
Adoption Fees
There is an adoption fee to acquire one of our adult dogs. Adoptions fees vary from dog to dog and are based on age, gender, color/pattern, personality, etc. Adoption fees are posted along with each dogs listing on this page. Asking adoption fees are FIRM. Like we stated before, our adult adults remain with us for all their lives unless adopted by the BEST of families.
Receiving an Adult Dog
We prefer families come and meet our adult dogs personally and pick up, but sometimes that isn’t possible and personal ground transport can be arranged. Transport cost varies depending on how far a dog must travel and is at potential adopter’s expense, it is NOT included in the asking adoption fee posted. We WILL NOT commercially ship our adult dogs!
**Please Note: The Adoption process (from our care to yours) of one of our adult dogs may take up to 2-4 weeks to complete. This is to allow time for application processing, scheduling/receiving veterinarian care and arrangements for transport (if needed).**
