Where the Dreams Begin…
Here at Hilltop Acres our pups are whelped and raised with TLC. It all starts here in our nursery area that provides a clean, capacious, well maintained and controlled environment for each female to feel safe and comfortable with their pups.
Puppies receive hands on care from birth until they go to their new families. They are taught age appropriate socialization, problem solving skills and clean potty habits using the Puppy Culture and Poop School protocols and lessons.
Once weaned, pups enjoy their own roomy space (appropriate for their age/size) with their littermates and other pups where they master many of these learned skills that help shape their future. We have both indoors and outdoor play areas.
Here at Hilltop Acres we start offering our pups a specialized puppy mousse at 4 weeks of age that consist of ground or chopped dry kibble, milk, raw ground meat, vegetables and natural supplements designed for the growing puppy. As the pups age they are gradually transferred to softened kibble and then to dry kibble before they are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age.
Over the years we have used several brands of kibble and supplements with the pups and have came to conclude the the Hills Science Small Breed Puppy Formula along with the Nature’s Farmacy supplements have worked the best with our pups. The pups grow out with nice shiny coats, strong bones and great health.
We do recommend these brands to our puppy families and we do send samples of them home with our pups.
